We offer take out and dine in only. We believe by doing so, we can offer the highest quality pizza and service.
Can I order a partially cooked pizza to finish at home?
You may order any of our pizzas “half-baked”. You can finish cooking the pizzas at your convenience. Just call us on the phone! We also stock a few limited options everyday at all 3 Zachary’s. See instructions for “half-baked” pizzas.
Do you take reservations?
At our Oakland and Berkeley locations, we accept walk-ins only. Seating is first come, first served. If the restaurant is full, you will be able to order your pizzas once you have received an estimated wait time for your table. This way your pizzas will cook while you wait!
At our San Ramon location, we accept RESERVATIONS based on availability. We always welcome walk-ins. Please call Zachary’s San Ramon (925) 244-1222 for more information. We require weekend reservation parties to order your pizzas in advance, so they will be ready shortly after you arrive.
Can I call ahead to put my name on the seating list or find out how long the wait for a table is?
If the restaurant is full, we ask that customers are in the restaurant to put their name on the list for a table. The estimated wait times fluctuate, and we are unable to give estimated wait times over the phone.
Can I place an order over the phone and then come to dine in the restaurant?
At our Oakland and Berkeley locations, we take dine-in orders over the phone 11 am- 4 pm only. While we encourage you to order in advance, we cannot guarantee a table will be available when you arrive. For phone orders after 4 pm, we are only able to accept take-out orders. If there is a wait for tables, you will be able to order your pizza after you receive an estimated wait time.
At our San Ramon location, we take dine-in orders over the phone during all business hours. Unless you have a reservation, we cannot guarantee a table will be available when you arrive.
Can I save a table until the rest of my party arrives?
We do not seat incomplete parties unless you are able to order the pizzas for the entire party. Additionally, we request that the remainder of your party arrive within a few minutes of seating your party.
What is the difference between Zachary's STUFFED & THIN pizza?
Our STUFFED PIZZA starts with a layer of Zachary’s fresh dough in a deep dish pizza pan. Then, we fill the pizza with cheese and toppings of your choice. A very thin layer of dough is then secured over the pizza, which will seal in the flavors of the ingredients while the pizza cooks. We top the pizza with our bold, chunky tomato sauce and cook it in our oven until the crust is golden brown. Preparation time for Zachary’s STUFFED pizzas is about 30-40 minutes.
Our THIN PIZZA is made with our cornmeal-dusted dough, our fresh and zesty thin-style pizza sauce, and toppings of your choice. We cover the pizza with whole milk mozzarella and bake it until the crust is crispy and golden brown. Preparation time for Zachary’s THIN pizzas is about 20-30 minutes.

Can I purchase Gift Certificates?
Yes, Zachary’s Gift Certificates make wonderful gifts! They are available in $25, $30, $50, and $100 amounts, and can be purchased at any Zachary’s or you can order them by mail.
Do you offer Zachary’s merchandise and apparel?
Yes, we do! You can purchase Zachary’s T-shirts, hats, and other merchandise at any Zachary’s or you can order most merchandise by mail. See Gifts & Merchandise.
Do you ship your pizzas for mail order customers?
To insure the best possible quality, we do not ship our pizzas. We have experienced problems trying to do so in the past.
In moderate weather, many customers do travel a few hours by car with half-baked pizzas.
Will you franchise or open a restaurant in my area soon?
We are an employee-owned company and for the time being, we dedicate our focus toward maintaining the quality of our pizzas, our service, and our work environment at our 3 locations in Oakland, Berkeley, and San Ramon. At this point, we are not interested in future expansion and/or franchising. Keep in mind, we will “never say never,” so please feel free to check our website again for possible updates.
